Our Q&A series with ServicePower's senior leaders continues with Peter Jan de Goede. Director, European Commercial Team. Peter Jan discusses his unique background which has led to his current role at ServicePower.
You bring a unique background and skillset to your role as the Director, European Commercial Team. How does that experience help you in serving ServicePower and your customers?
Peter Jan: Before stepping into this role, I led ServicePower’s Solution Engineering Team. This position demanded not only deep technical expertise but also extensive experience in process knowledge and system architecture. I worked closely with ServicePower’s product teams, collaborated with our customers, and addressed their distinct challenges firsthand. I now lead a dynamic group that integrates both solution engineering and sales. This unique combination allows us to seamlessly align our solutions with our sales strategies, ensuring that we deliver exceptional results and outcomes for our customers across the continent. I sometimes remain actively involved in significant solution engineering activities, particularly for our large European accounts. This dual focus allows me to stay connected with both the product and commercial aspects of our operations. This in turn helps ensure we provide comprehensive and effective solutions to our clients.
In my role, I am responsible for steering the European team towards achieving our ambitious targets. This involves close collaboration not only with my team on the ground in Europe but also with our executive teams spread across different regions globally, as well as our diverse customer base. Our collective efforts are focused on driving growth, fostering innovation, and maintaining a strong presence in the European market.
We have cultivated a strong cooperative model in Europe, which has been instrumental in our success. This collaborative spirit not only drives our achievements but also makes the journey enjoyable and fulfilling. Ultimately, my role is about blending strategic oversight with technical expertise, fostering strong relationships, and driving results. It's a privilege to lead such a talented team and to contribute to our collective success on a global scale.
