April 23, 2013- ServicePower Hires Best Buy Veteran as new US COO

Executive Joseph Wang brings field management and retail industry experience to the U.S. operations post

Reston, VA—April 23, 2013 – Workforce management software provider ServicePower Technologies (AIM: SVR) has hired a former Best Buy executive as its new U.S. chief operations officer.

Field management and retail industry veteran Joseph Wang will manage all operations in the United States, including ServicePower’s California-based call center. He will also oversee service network recruitment and field management for the company’s ServiceOutsourcing business.

Wang joins ServicePower with more than 10 years’ executive operations experience across the B2B and B2C service industries. Most recently, he served as the senior director of service channel strategy at Best Buy, where he designed and implemented strategic plans for all the retailer’s on-site North American workforces, including installation and repair for televisions, appliances and computers.

“Our recent growth in U.S. operations has triggered the need for veteran management skills in third-party contractors and employed field workforces,” said Mark Duffin, CEO of ServicePower. “Mr. Wang’s experience in operations and field management will add great value to the ServiceOutsourcing team, as well as to ServicePower. Prior to his most recent role, Wang held several additional positions at Best Buy, including senior director of services fulfilment operations. During his tenure, he transformed a legacy repair infrastructure – 16 service depots and 22 regional in-home repair teams – into a competitive offering.

Wang also has extensive experience with the automotive industry, having held operations, sales and marketing positions with Ford Motor Company. He holds two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and Chinese from Ohio State University.
