SERVICEOptimizer
The optimization engine is the heart of the
scheduling system, and provides full automation
for scheduling appointments, complex SLA jobs,
jobs in sequence, jobs with multi-technician
dependencies, preventative maintenance jobs, and
activities.
The optimizer is cost based with no
complex business rules to write and maintain,
just a set of configuration parameters that tell
it how to balance the various factors such as
drive time, proximity, overtime, local
knowledge, skills, parts, service commitments,
etc. The configuration parameters can vary to
reflect changes in seasons, or demand, or
geographic area, this allows the scheduling
system to be deployed in many areas of a service
organization with different scheduling
requirements and processes.
