ServicePower wins contract to deliver
scheduling, route optimization and mobile technology to Circuit
City’s firedogSM Services
Solution will improve convenience and flexibility
for Circuit City and Firedog customers
Annapolis, Md. (November 27, 2007) - ServicePower,
a global developer and supplier of service chain optimization
software, today announced a contract with Circuit City, a brand-name
consumer electronics retailer based in Richmond, Va.
ServicePower has been contracted to provide Circuit City with
a “Software as a Service” (SaaS) solution that will
increase productivity and reduce costs within their service
business. firedogSM, which provides professional PC, mobile
electronic installation, and home theater installation services,
will benefit from the full solution as rollout reaches completion.

of the current appointment booking process for Circuit City’s
customers who require installation or on-site repair for their

The SaaS solution includes SERVICEMobility
to dispatch jobs out to the technicians along with GPS monitoring
and navigation technology that helps technicians navigate to
customer addresses and gives central operations staff increased
visibility and feedback of the progress of the job and the location
of the technician. This solution allows Circuit City to gain
more control over variances between the planned schedule and
the actual routes achieved by technicians in the field.
